The dollar / TL exchange rate sees the level of 13.86

The US Dollar, which has been rapidly gaining value against the Turkish lira after interest rate cuts in recent months, was at 13.78 at the close of yesterday.

The dollar started the day above 13.8, while it saw 13.86. As of 09:20, it stood at 13.84.

The euro closed at 15.6 yesterday, while it rose to 15.67 today.

The eyes are on December 16, when the next interest rate meeting of the Central Bank (MB) will be held.

Experts say if CBRT decides to have another rate cut (by 100 points, likely) the dollar TL rate could easily exceed 14 and move further upwards.
