First cruise ship of the season arrives in Bodrum
The ‘Silver Spirit’, the first cruise ship of the season, arrived at the port of Bodrum, the world-famous tourist town of Muğla, with 475 passengers. The 212-meter-long ship, which arrived at the Kumbahçe Ship Berthing Pier in the early hours of the morning, came to Bodrum from Istanbul. T
he Silver Spirit, flying the Bahamian flag, arrived in Bodrum with 475 passengers, predominantly from the USA and the UK, and 410 crew members.
Tourists disembarking from the cruise ship were welcomed by Bodrum District Governor Mustafa Çit and Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci. Tourists who shopped at the Bodrum Bazaar and visited the historical sites of the town had the opportunity to discover the beauty of the city. The Silver Spirit departed from Bodrum for Rhodes on April 7 at 23:00.
This year, a total of 97 cruise ships are expected to arrive in Bodrum, welcoming over 100,000 foreign tourists. Additionally, ferry services to the islands of Kos and Rhodes are planned to serve around 130,000 passengers.
