The new eventual hike in bread prices

It is expected that the bread prices, which are up to 4-4.5 TL, will be formalized in the second week of June with informal hikes made in some districts of Istanbul. The end of the suitable flour application provided by TMO to the baker has created a new concern in bread prices.

The new danger in bread prices

The termination of the Flour Support Project implemented by Office of Land Crops (TMO) in which bakers receive suitably priced flour, has put new pressure on bread prices.

Bakers who have started selling bread from 4-4.5 TL without an official tariff in some districts of Istanbul, say that if the Flour Support Project is completed, bread prices will rise to 5-6 TL by the end of the year.
