Istanbul stock exchange completes the day by setting a new record
The BIST 100 index, which reached a record level during the day with a low of 7,837.07 and a high of 8,008.78 points, ended the day at 7,941.73 points with a 2.92% increase compared to the previous closing.
The BIST 30 index closed at 8,536.75 points with a gain of 271.28 points and a 3.28% increase compared to the previous closing. Out of the stocks included in the BIST 100 index, 76 gained value while 23 declined.
Şişecam, Turkish Airlines, İş Bankası (C), Tüpraş, and Astor Enerji were the most traded stocks.
In Borsa İstanbul Gold Market, the kilogram price of standard gold ended the day at 1 million 622 thousand liras with a 4.4% decrease.
The Central Bank (CB) announced today’s effective exchange rate of the dollar as 26.5086 liras for buying and 26.6148 liras for selling. The CB had previously set the effective exchange rate at 26.3876 liras for buying and 26.4933 liras for selling.
