Economy in Turkey: US Dollar reaches its highest level ever
The Dollar/TL exchange rate has been rising due to developments in Syria. This morning, it tested an all-time high. In contrast, the Euro saw only a slight increase.
On the second trading day of the week, the Dollar/TL continued its upward trend. Following the intensifying uncertainties in the region after the collapse of the Assad regime in Damascus, market volatility has increased. The Dollar/TL reached 34.84 TL this morning, testing its all-time high.
EURO/TL EXPERIENCES A SLIGHT UPTICK
The Euro/TL also continued its upward trend. Yesterday, the Euro/TL traded between 36.65 and 36.92 TL, ending the day at 36.75 TL. This morning, the Euro/TL showed a slight increase, reaching 36.78 TL.
