Third hike in High-Speed Train fees in four months: Istanbul-Ankara costs TL 151

High-Speed Train (YHT) services were increased by another 15 percent. This was the third hike for YHT tickets since the beginning of the year.

The Minister of Transport who is in charge of YHT criticized the 40 percent hike in public transportation in Istanbul had forgotten about the same amount of hikes that came to the ministry-operated Marmaray ticket prices.

YHT train ticket prices were increased by 20 percent in January and 10 percent in March. With the new hike, the ticket price from Ankara to Istanbul (Kadıköy) has increased from TL 130.50 to TL 151.

The high-speed train ticket price between Konya and Ankara increased to TL 67 DEC, while the high-speed train ticket between Konya and Istanbul increased to TL 182.
