IPHONE 14 PRICES

US-based technology giant Apple unveiled its new smartphone series iPhone 14 yesterday. With the announcement of the prices, it was seen that half of the Turkish price consisted of taxes and other deductions.

The starting price of the iPhone 14, which is 799 dollars in the USA, was determined as 30 thousand 99 TL in Turkey.

On the iPhone 14 Pro, the sales prices starting from 39 thousand 999 TL go up to 53 thousand 199 TL. On the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the top iPhone model, prices in Turkey start from 43 thousand 999 TL and reach up to 57 thousand 199 TL.

So how much is the amount of tax we pay when buying these new models? The tax paid exceeds 20 thousand on some models

Those who want to buy iPhone 14 (128 GB), the cheapest model with starting price 30 thousand 999 TL pay approximately 13 thousand 489 TL to the state as taxes. The taxes etc. paid for iPhone 14 (512 GB storage space) priced 38,899 TL, is approximately 15 thousand 197 TL.

On the other hand, those who want to buy iPhone 14 Pro (128 GB) for 39 thousand 999 TL have to pay about 17 thousand 902 TL tax.

This tax amount exceeds 21 thousand TL for the same model, which has 1 TB of storage space and is sold for 53 thousand 199 TL. If the iPhone 14 Pro Max has the same storage capacity, it is at a total price of 57 thousand 199 TL with 21 thousand 974 taxes. So someone who wants to buy an iPhone 14 Pro Max (1 TB) has to pay about four minimum wage as tax.

In other words, someone who wants to buy a phone from the iPhone 14 series pays 49.1 percent tax.

Prices also revealed the depreciation of the TL once again. While the Ford Focus car was bought for 56 thousand pounds in 2015, now the iPhone brand phone can be bought at the same price. Some users on social media wrote that it is cheaper to go abroad and buy a phone, including tickets, accommodation and registration fees.
