TOGG, first Turkish made electric car opening its Gemlik facility on October 29

Turkey’s domestic automobile dream is finally being realized. TOGG, first Turkish made electric car is opening its Gemlik facility on October 29, the “Republic Day”. 5 months after the opening, which will be attended by close to 4 thousand people, the first model C-SUV will come down from the production lines of the factory and will be offered for sale in Turkey. The goal is to produce 1 million fully electric cars in 5 different body types, by 2030.
60 years after the first Domestic Automobile initiative with ‘Revolution’ brand in 1961, an important milestone remains behind in Turkey’s dream of producing automobiles. TOGG’s facility in Gemlik, which was officially established in 2018 with the aim of producing Turkey’s automobile, opens with the participation of President Erdogan on October 29, Republic Day.
With the opening, TOGG’s C-SUV model, which has been produced in the prototype workshop and various road tests have been carried out so far, will be fully ready for mass production. Immediately afterwards, the C-SUV will be sent to accredited test centers to certify that it is ready to hit the roads.
