Tourism in Turkey: The second stop of the Cultural Road Festivals is Trabzon

The second stop of the Cultural Road Festivals is Trabzon and Erzurum. The festival will feature exhibitions, theater performances, concerts, children’s activities, film screenings, and discussions.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced that the Turkey Cultural Road Festivals would continue with the Sumela and Palandoken Festivals, to be held in Trabzon and Erzurum from August 19 to 27.

According to the statement from the Ministry, the Turkey Cultural Road Festivals, which were initiated with the Beyoglu Cultural Road Festival two years ago, began this year in Cappadocia on August 5. The second stop of the Cultural Road Festivals, which will continue until November 12, will take place in Trabzon and Erzurum from August 19 to 27. The Sümela and Palandoken Festivals, which will be held simultaneously, will feature exhibitions, theater performances, concerts, children’s activities, film screenings, and discussions.

The festival will be attended by hundreds of amateur and professional photographers. Photography enthusiasts will gather at the most picturesque locations in Trabzon and Erzurum with a procession and band. The photographs taken during the festival will be evaluated by a jury, and cash prizes will be awarded to the selected works. As part of the Sümela Cultural Road Festival, concerts will be held by many artists at the Trabzon Fair Center and Erzurum Event and Rally Area.

Additionally, Turkish folk music, Turkish classical music, and Sufi music concerts, as well as folk dance performances, will also be presented to the audience. Also some films will be shown at said festivals.
