Tourism professionals: 2024 will be the year of Alanya

Mehmet Dahaoğlu, Vice President of the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation, stated that they expected 6 million tourists from Russia to come to Turkey in 2024, emphasizing that 2024 would be the year of Alanya.

Mehmet Dahaoğlu, Vice President of the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV), announced that they expected 6 million Russian tourists to come to Turkey in 2024.

Dahaoğlu pointed out that especially after the Russia-Ukraine War, Alanya had become even more well-known, citing safety as the most important reason for preference. Dahaoğlu stated that they had started to attract more Russian tourists and said, “Officials we have spoken to say that 2024 will be the year of Alanya.”

Dahaoğlu mentioned that the Russia-Ukraine War had negatively affected consumer budgets, but emphasized that Turkey remained an affordable destination despite price increases.
