Tourist who wiped his nose with Turkish lira to be deported

An Israeli tourist who paid the bill with the Turkish lira he wiped his nose with in a restaurant in Istanbul and shared its video on his social media account will be deported.

Police launched an investigation into the incident in question, which was shared on social media.

The person who shared the video was found to be an Israeli citizen of Palestinian origin.

Said person was detained for “insulting the symbol of state sovereignty”, at the hotel he was staying in Besiktas.

After procedure completed, he will be handed over to the provincial migration administration Repatriation Centre for deportation.
