Transport Minister says Ankara-Sivas High-Speed Train (YHT) line will be opened after Ramadan
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil KARAISMAILOGLU said that the Ankara-Sivas High-Speed Train (YHT) line would be opened after Ramadan. The Minister said, “After the holiday, a citizen from Sivas will have reached his home in Istanbul by high-speed train without interruption. There will be a 6-hour journey by high-speed train between Sivas and Istanbul.”
Ankara-Sivas High Speed Train (YHT) line has come to an end. Minister of Transport told NTV about the latest situation in the project. The Minister shared following:
ISTANBUL-SIVAS JOURNEY TIME WILL BE REDUCED TO 6 HOURS
“Our Ankara-Sivas High-Speed Train Line is one of our giant projects that our country and our nation are looking forward to. Now there are a few days left for the opening. The Ankara-Sivas High-speed train line, which is 400 kilometers long, will be an important part of the east-west high-speed railway corridor extending from Edirne to Kars. With the project, we will introduce our Kirikkale, Yozgat and Sivas provinces with high-speed train comfort. 1.4 million of our citizens will have the opportunity to travel by high-speed train. The distance between Ankara and Sivas will be reduced from 603 kilometers to 400 kilometers. Istanbul-Sivas journey will take 6 hours, Ankara-Sivas journey will take 2 hours,
There are 8 stations on our line, Elmadağ, Kırıkkale, Yerköy, Yozgat, Sorgun, Akdağmadeni, Yıldızeli and Sivas. There are 49 tunnels and 49 viaducts in the 400-kilometer line. The high-speed train line will extend to Baku.
