Earthquake in Turkey: Operations on Istanbul Stock Exchange stopped
Borsa Istanbul A.Ş. announced decision to stop trading on the stock exchange. Borsa Istanbul’s announcement on the suspension of transactions was published on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).
The statement said, “It has been decided to stop transactions in the Stock Market of our Stock Exchange, the Futures and Options Market, the share and share index derivatives markets.”
Today, after the decline in the BIST 100 index exceeded the 5 percent and 7 percent limit, the Circuit Breaker System connected to the Index worked at 10.12.01 and 10.42.31, respectively.
After the Index-Connected Circuit Breaker System worked for the second time, transactions were completely stopped with the announcement made by Borsa Istanbul A.Ş.
