Turkey introduces restriction on exports of red meat
Restrictions have been imposed on the export of red meat, which is on the agenda due to the price increase. In this context, it was decided to restrict the export of cattle, sheep and goat meat to all countries except the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Azerbaijan and the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan.
PURPOSE OF ENSURING SUPPLY SECURITY
The authority has shared that the reason for this was “to ensure the security of the supply of domestic meat, so as to maintain the balance of supply and demand”
