Turkey to impose curfew restrictions in 81 provinces on May 23-24-25 and 26 May

Last minute … a holiday curfew! The Presidential Cabinet was headed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. After the meeting, Erdogan announced curfew restrictions would be imposed in 81 provinces on May 23-24-25-26.
After the meeting the President made the following announcement:
“We’ll make a habit of using masks. We will leave at least 1.5-2 metres between us and people in the street, at work, in the public transport area, in all areas of social life, and wash our hands at every opportunity. The mask, distance and cleanliness trio will now become an indispensable part of our lives.
* It is very important not to go out and mingle with the crowd unless you have to. The number of cases treated in our hospitals is quite low.
* Thanks to the experience we have gained in the last two months, we have a serious background in prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Our patient, low mortality rate, our system of controlling the rate of spread of cases, our innovative treatment methods are followed with appreciation.
* We are now more prepared than ever for coronavirus or similar epidemics. The data, which is shared transparently every day, shows that the ratio shifts to horizontal. It is possible for the normalisation calendar to continue, with the number of cases going much lower and zeroing in. If there is a negative development in the course of the outbreak, we may have to re-implement some measures much more harshly.
* I ask our citizens again and again to follow the established rules. For the safe future of ourselves and our children, we must embrace this process, in which even a single neglect can produce severe consequences.
* With the Coordination of our vice president and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and our institutions, we are implementing normalization step by step.
Guidelines have been published showing the important considerations in implementing the relevant normalization plan in all sectors. Curfew restrictions will be imposed in all 81 provinces on May 23-24-25-26, from Arefe day to the last day of Eid.
* The inter-city travel restriction applicable to 15 cities has been extended for 15 days. We are relaunching closed views in June, accompanied by certain restrictions and measures that have not been done in prisons for some time.
