Turkey to be effected negatively due to decrease in number of British tourists

UK Health Minister Matt Hancock has clarified the issue of the international holiday that Britons have been eagerly waiting for. Hancock said British citizens would not be able to holiday in other countries this summer because of the corona virus outbreak.

Minister Hancock who spoke to ITV, was asked, “Will people not be able to have a normal summer holiday abroad this summer?” in which case he replied “I think so”.

The Health Secretary was also asked whether “summer had been cancelled” on a TV program. He replied that it was “likely to be the case”. The secretary noted that restricted movement was a “reality of life” amid the coronavirus pandemic and went on to say the government had not made a final decision on it yet but it was clear that UK would seek to reopen hospitality, some hospitality, from early July if the spread of virus could be kept reducing successfully. He added that social distancing of some kind was going to continue in any case also mentioning  the conclusion from that was it looked  quite unlikely that big, international holidays were going to possible for the summer.

Turkey on the other hand has been enjoying substantial increase in number of British tourists visiting this country in recent years. However it seems that this upward trend will not continue this summer due to the negative impact caused by the epidemic.
