DHMI GM announces new measures to be implemented at Turkey’s airports

Huseyin KESKIN, the general manager of the State Airports Authority (DHMI), has announced new measures to be taken at airports due to the new type of coronavirus (covid-19) outbreak.

Keskin said on his Twitter account that they were reviewing the new measures to be implemented within the scope of the “Covid19-Free Airports” project in the process of transition to a “new normal order” in aviation at Istanbul airport, which brings Turkey to the top of Europe.

Keskin explained that the scope of the measures implemented in all processes from airport entry to departure from airports at destinations will be expanded and added :

“The physical conditions of the airports will be re-arranged according to the social distance rule. Free-rule check-in queues and seating areas will be arranged to keep an eye on the social distance range. In order to reduce the intensity and contact, necessary arrangements will be made in the baggage areas and sufficient distance will be provided between the baggage bands.”

Keskin also shared some images of the measures to be taken on the subject.
