Turkey’s Defense Industry: “Successfully Tested Our First Military Turbofan Aircraft Engine”

The Defense Industry Presidency (SSB) announced that Turkey’s first military turbofan engine had been successfully tested.

According to the SSB statement, this step was taken in the direction of gaining technology and designing a real military turbofan engine with the necessary features for the engine of the National Combat Aircraft KAAN.

Professor Dr. Haluk Görgün, President of the Defense Industry Presidency, said the following about the project development:

“With the energy of our homeland sons and daughters, Turkey’s first National Turbofan Engine TF6000 was successfully tested for the first time in the national engine test system. At the end of the test process, KIZILELMA and ANKA-3 will derive power from the TF6000.”
