Turkey’s Minister of Transportation: We will make the third runway at Esenboğa in Ankara

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil KARAISMAILOGLU said that the third runway would be built at Esenboga Airport in Ankara. The government will renew the tender for the operation of Esenboga Airport on December 20, two and a half years before the expiry of the TAV.
KARAISMAILOGLU told Bloomberg that the tender would be held on December 20 and the 25-year operating period will be determined, starting 2025.
The Minister also said, There is an investment of 200 million euros to be made there. With the tender, we say “you will invest this much, and you will give this place back to us after you operate it for 25 years.”
THIRD RUNWAY WILL BE BUILT
The Minister also made the following statement: “We will build the third runway to Esenboğa. In addition, an additional tower will be built and repairs of the old runway will also be carried out.”
