Turkish Airlines Company sacks hundreds of employees as part of downsizing decision

It is reported that Turkish Do&Co which is an affiliate of Turkish Airlines has laid more than 300 staff as part of its downsizing decision. The laid-off employees were mainly kitchen staff.

Do&Co, which terminated hundreds of flying chefs with a similar decision about 3 years ago, followed the same method once again.

Turkish Do&Co management who held meetings with administrative managers working in the kitchen and gave these managers numbers off employees to be laid off in their units, fired employees in other units rendering service to planes, as well.

In total, the number of laid-off staff exceeded 300 and this number could increase further.

After Turkish Do & co decided to downsize, it was learned that other employees experienced great unease upon this decision and the method practiced.
