Turkish flour sector enjoys rapidly growing exports thanks to African markets
Turkish flour producers are about to reach an exports figure of 2 million tonnes thanks to African markets ranging from Djibouti to Angola and from Somalia to Sierra Leone.
Speaking to the AA, the Vice-President of Turkish Federation of Flour Industrialists (TUSAF) Rifat Hekimoglu said that Turkey has become an important player in the flour industry thanks to new connections made in the world.
I believe that the Turkish flour industry would make exports of 2 million tonnes by the end of 2011. We aim to earn 900 million USD from the export of flour in 2011, Hekimoglu also said.
