TURKSTAT announces annual inflation as 61.14 percent

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) has announced that inflation has increased by 5.46 percent in March and became 61.14 percent year-on-year. The Consumer Price Index (CP / TÜFE) increased by 5.46 percent month-on-month in March, and the Domestic Producer Price Index (YI-PPI) increased by 9.19 percent. Annual inflation was recorded as 61.14 percent in consumer prices and 114.97 percent in domestic producer prices.

According to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute, taking into account the 12-month averages as of March, consumer prices increased by 29.88 percent and domestic producer prices by 64.3 percent.

According to ENAG, annual inflation is 142.63 percent

On the other hand, the inflation rate announced by the independent research group ENAG, which appeared as an alternative to the official inflation data of the TURKSTAT, turned out to be much higher.

The Inflation Research Group (ENAG) also announced that the ENAGrup consumer price index increased by 11.93% in March, and annual inflation was 142.63%.
