The CDC has added Turkey to the “high risk” group of countries, which is Level 4, where the “avoid all travel” advice is given. In parallel with this development, the Foreign Ministry warned its citizens not to travel to Turkey.

A “Level 4: Do not travel” warning was published on the Foreign Ministry’s website regarding travel advice to Turkey. “The risk has increased in some areas,” the ministry said in a statement. Earlier, Turkey was on the” Level 3: review travel ” list. The CDC’s guidance includes 5 levels:” Very High “(Level 4),” High “(Level 3),” medium “(level 2),” Low “(Level 1) and” unknown.”

According to data released by the Ministry of Health on Monday, 18,163 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in Turkey and 165 people died.
