US dollar surpasses euro, stirring up the Grand Bazaar

The foreign exchange markets saw movement hours before the close. The US dollar / TL rate increased, surpassing the Euro / TL rate. After this development, it was seen that there was a queue at some exchange offices.

The US Dollar overtook the euro, gaining in value after the US inflation data. The history of the rise of the dollar was also reflected on the electronic currency boards at the Grand Bazaar.

According to this increase, at 17.30, the purchase value of the American dollar was 17,620 TL, while the sale value was 17,660. The purchase value of the euro was 17,550, while the sale value was 17,600.

QUEUES SEEN AT THE GRAND BAZAAR

After this increase, it was seen that some citizens were queuing in front of exchange offices.

“The general impression was that the euro had falllen due to the fact that the European Union did not act as a whole in the Russian-Ukrainian war” according to some citizens, who came to the Grand Bazaar for shopping.
