Weather Forecast for April 14, 2025: Spring in the West, Snow in the East…When Will the Weather Warm Up?

METEOROLOGY-TURKEY

According to the forecasts by the Turkish State Meteorological Service, the central and eastern regions of the country are expected to be partly to mostly cloudy. Intermittent rain and showers are expected in eastern Central Anatolia, Central and Eastern Black Sea, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, as well as the provinces of Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye, Hatay, Kırıkkale, Aksaray, Kırşehir, and Kastamonu. The rest of the country is expected to be partly cloudy and clear.

Rainfall is expected to be heavy in Hakkari, Bitlis, Bingöl, Şırnak, and Siirt. Rain and showers are also expected along the Central and Eastern Black Sea coasts, Southeastern Anatolia, and the provinces of Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye, Hatay, Tunceli, Malatya, and Elazığ. In other areas where precipitation occurs, a mix of rain and snow or snow is expected.

In the morning and nighttime hours, frost and ice formation are expected in the interior and eastern parts of the country. Avalanche risk remains in the high and steep areas of Eastern Anatolia and the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea region. Dust transport is expected in the southeastern part of Eastern Anatolia and the eastern areas of Southeastern Anatolia.

MARMARA: Partly to mostly clear.

  • Edirne: 18°C – Partly cloudy
  • Istanbul: 15°C – Partly cloudy

AEGEAN: Clear to partly cloudy, especially in the inland parts. Frost and ice formation expected in the morning and night in inner regions.

  • Izmir: 19°C – Clear
  • Muğla: 19°C – Clear

MEDITERRANEAN: Partly to mostly cloudy. Showers and rain are expected in Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye, and Hatay. Strong northerly winds (40–70 km/h) are expected in inner parts.

  • Antalya: 23°C – Partly cloudy

CENTRAL ANATOLIA: Partly to mostly cloudy. Rain mixed with snow in the east, and snow in higher altitudes. Frost and ice formation are expected throughout the region. Strong winds expected in southern and eastern parts (40–70 km/h).

  • Ankara: 10°C – Mostly cloudy

WESTERN BLACK SEA: Partly to mostly cloudy. Local rain showers expected in Kastamonu in the morning. Frost and ice formation expected in interior areas during early hours.

CENTRAL AND EASTERN BLACK SEA: Mostly cloudy with intermittent rainfall. Rain along the coasts; mixed rain and snow or snow inland. Avalanche risk in high-altitude areas of the Eastern Black Sea.

EASTERN ANATOLIA: Mostly cloudy with intermittent snow and mixed rain. Rainfall may be heavy in Bingöl, Bitlis, Hakkari, and Şırnak. Avalanche risk in high and steep areas. Dust transport expected in the southeast.

  • Kars: 5°C – Cloudy, with intermittent snow/mixed rain

SOUTHEASTERN ANATOLIA: Mostly cloudy with intermittent rain and showers. Siirt may see heavy rain. Dust transport expected in the eastern areas.

  • Diyarbakır: 14°C – Cloudy, intermittent rain
