USD/TRY and Exchange Rates Update – July 23, 2025

As of 09:30 on July 23, 2025, the US dollar (USD) opened at 40.4486 Turkish lira (TRY) on the free market, with buying at 40.4390 TL and selling at 40.4511 TL, reflecting a 0.08% increase from the previous day.

The euro (EUR) stood at 47.4923 TL, with a slight daily drop of 0.08%, trading between 47.4721 TL (buying) and 47.5118 TL (selling). The British pound (GBP) was trading at 54.7665 TL.

Yesterday, the dollar reached a high of 40.4295 TL and a low of 40.3884 TL, closing at 40.4163 TL. The euro moved between 47.5773 TL and 47.2279 TL, ending the day at 47.5312 TL.

Monthly and Yearly Performance

  • USD: Up 0.61 TL (1.53%) since July 1 and 5.08 TL (14.37%) since the start of 2025. Over the past year, the dollar has risen 23.10%, from 32.8596 TL to 40.4486 TL.
  • EUR: Gained 0.42 TL (0.90%) this month and 11.01 TL (30.17%) year-to-date. Year-over-year, it’s up 33.08%, from 35.6870 TL to 47.4923 TL.
  • GBP: Down slightly this month by 0.09 TL (-0.17%) but up 10.71 TL (24.36%) since January. Compared to a year ago, the pound has risen 28.93%, from 42.4184 TL to 54.6908 TL
