WATER PIPE LINE BODRUM

Another water pipeline burst which has turned into a nightmare for the past 4 years in Bodrum district of Muğla, occurred early this morning. Dozens of houses and businesses were submerged, and a giant crater formed in the middle of the asphalt.

Due to the burst of water pipeline on Atatürk Boulevard in Bitez Neighborhood, connected to Bodrum district of Muğla, the Bodrum-Ortakent highway was closed to traffic. Hundreds of tons of water flowing in vain left many houses and businesses underwater.

GIANT CRATER FORMED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD

Some vehicles were damaged due to the giant crater, approximately 4 meters wide and three meters deep, opened in the middle of the street. Business owners and homeowners woke up to muddy waters and had to clean up throughout the day. After MUSKİ cut off the water supply line, the teams started maintenance and repair work.

4TH BURST IN THE SAME LOCATION

Ahmet Meşeli, a resident of the area, said, “For the fourth time, the water pipeline is bursting in the same place on the same street. Houses and businesses are underwater, there is financial damage, but we don’t know who to hold accountable because there is no responsible party.”
