Weather in Turkey: Downpour and wind warning from Meteorology

According to the forecasts of the General Directorate of Meteorology, torrential rainfall is expected in many cities today, while strong wind will also manifest itself, especially in the Marmara and Aegean regions.

According to the forecasts published by the General Directorate of Meteorology, torrential rainfall will be observed today in the Black Sea, in Marmara and around Hatay. Strong winds are expected from the north in the west of Marmara and the Aegean.

STRONG WIND AND DOWNPOUR WARNING

According to a recent assessment by the General Directorate of Meteorology; local showers and thunderstorms  are expected in the east of the Marmara Sea, Black Sea, to the northeast of eastern Anatolia, Sivas circles, the coastal towns of the Mediterranean and Hatay. Precipitation is expected to be locally strong on the Central and Eastern Black Sea coasts, Erzurum, Kars, Ağrı, Iğdır and Sinop environs, as well as on the southern and coastal parts of Ardahan and Kastamonu.

Strong rainfall will be expected in central and eastern Black Sea coast, Erzurum, Kars, Ağrı, Iğdır, Ardahan with circles south of Sinop and Kastamonu. Citizens should be cautious against flood, lightning, landslides transportation.

Since the wind is expected to blow strongly (40-60 km / h) from the north in the west of Marmara, the Coastal Aegean and the inner parts of the Central Black Sea, from the south-west in the southeast of Eastern Anatolia, from the southwest, it is necessary to be careful and cautious about such negativities as toppling trees and poles, flying roofs and disruptions.
