Weather in Turkey: Heavy rainfall warning for 7 provinces

Torrential and thundery downpours will be effective in 7 provinces in the Eastern Anatolia Region. According to the information received from the Regional Directorate of Meteorology, intermittent downpours are expected in Erzurum, Erzincan, Ağrı, Kars, Iğdır, Ardahan and Tunceli after noon in the region, where the weather is expected to be partly cloudy.

In the region, where the temperature is expected to remain seasonally normal, the wind will blow slightly from the south, with moderate force from time to time.

The lowest air temperature at night was measured at 1 degree in Erzurum, 2 degrees in Ardahan and Kars, 3 degrees in Ağrı, 4 degrees in Erzincan, 8 degrees in Tunceli and 9 degrees in Iğdır.

The expected highest temperature during the day will be 19 degrees in Igdir, 12 degrees in Ağrı and Ardahan, 11 degrees in Kars and Tunceli, 10 degrees in Erzincan and 8 degrees in Erzurum.

Snow thicknesses in high areas of the region were measured as 108 centimeters at Palandoken Ski Center, 50 centimeters at Erzincan Ergan Ski Center and 37 centimeters at Palandoken 2.

It was requested to be careful and cautious as there is an avalanche danger on steeply sloping slopes with high snow cover in the region.
