Weather warning from the Meteorology: Temperature will drop by 12 degrees

Cold and rainy air has entered from the west of the country. According to the Meteorology’s warning, heavy rain and storms are expected in many regions. In the northwest of the country, temperatures will drop by 12 degrees in some cities.

According to the statement made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, heavy rain and thunderstorms expected in Marmara and the Aegean Coast are predicted to be locally intense in the western districts of Izmir, Aydin, and Manisa tomorrow morning to evening.

GOVERNOR WARNS ISTANBULITES

Istanbul Governor Davut Gül issued a storm warning, urging caution. Gül, in a statement on his social media account, said, “According to the latest evaluations, strong and sometimes stormy (50-80 km/h) winds from the north and northeast are expected in Istanbul, starting tomorrow (Saturday) morning. Therefore, a meteorological warning has been issued to be careful and cautious against negative situations such as tree and pole falling, roof flying, and disruptions in transportation.”

STORM WILL AFFECT THE AEGEAN

The wind is expected to blow strongly from the north and northeast in the northern and western parts of Marmara and the northern coasts of Izmir starting tomorrow morning.

Due to the upcoming meteorological developments, it is important to be cautious and take precautions against negative situations such as flooding, tree and pole falling, roof flying, and disruptions in transportation.

WILL BE EFFECTIVE IN MANY CITIES

According to the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology, effective rainfall is expected in many regions of our country. The precipitation is expected to be generally rain and showers, occasionally thunderstorms, and after midnight, rain mixed with snow and snow is expected in the surroundings of Edirne and Kırklareli.

The precipitation is expected to be strong in the western parts of Marmara, Istanbul, Bursa, Yalova, and Kocaeli coasts, as well as the northern coasts of the North Aegean. Haze and fog are expected in the mornings and nights in the eastern parts of Marmara and the inner and eastern regions.

TEMPERATURE WILL DROP BY 12 DEGREES

It is predicted that the temperatures will decrease by up to 12 degrees in the northwest regions due to the strong northerly wind, increase by 2 to 4 degrees in the eastern regions, and remain unchanged in other areas.
