What should your CEO have on his or her “TO DO” list?

It may be a great and successful adventure just like things might go wrong to end up with disappointment and failure..

These certainly depend on many factors like the right climate for investment, the right sector, good enough operating tools to include funds etc..

However the person at the top of this operation is definitely the most important factor for a successful operation..

We have come across many cases where a skillful CEO (or Managing Director) has shifted the direction of the business to a positive future and made sure for the company to land safe on ground in case of a threat (or multiple).

What is the most important point then to ensure the head of the operation does not fail to execute in due course;

That is what to do when – and what not to do etc..Because such a critical decision could surely save the future of the company and ensure the foreign investor does not sink million dollars for a failure story.

Based on a survey it is found that directors active in Turkey find it very important what they should focus on for a successful senior management;

The results say;

  • Most CEOs put “a healthy and consistent grow” at the top of the list.
  • Many focus on improvement of HR and planning, competitiveness and growth plans
  • Where some believe monitoring the effectiveness of the investment projects planned and completing them on time is the most important issue.
  • Then again some others maintain it is essential such focusing should  done taking into account the global balances for the year.
  • Many also believe “cost” is the most crucial factor that could bury an operation and improving on this item should be the main focus.
  • Another worth mentioning point of focus is finding and creating alternative markets to mean export markets exactly in compliance to the main principle of sales management; Customer attrition

To recap, Turkey is a very fast moving market (as opposed to many years ago) and newcomers are comfortably accommodated.. Provided they play the game right…

Thus finding the right person to put at the top of the operation could be your destiny.

Having said this we need to add that there are some plenty of HEADHUNTERS (and int’l too) where you would be offered this service of finding the right person for you.
