What will happen if the opposition fails to win in the second round?

This is an article based on a Twitter post by a politician (from opposition) about what to expect if the opposition does not win the presidential election in the second round. It goes without saying the picture painted by the politician seems to be very frightening. However, it is very astonishing to see that a very large group of citizens voting for the ruling bloc seem to ignore this negative and even scary picture likely to be experienced right after the election thanks to the misleading “propaganda” successfully run.

Down below is the message shared by said politician:

“IF OPPOSITION DOES NOT WIN THE SECOND ROUND OF PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION”

“Both foreign exchange and interest rates will skyrocket…
Dollar will be at least 30 TL
Interest will go up to at least 50 percent…
The stock market will crash…
Inflation will jump when the dollar rises…
and real inflation will rise above 100 percent…

So whatever you buy today, the price will double…”

BANKS

Everyone thinks banks are very profitable…
But their capital has melted away.
Moreover, their deposits are short-term.
But their loans are long-term and low-interest…
They were also forced to buy government paper…
The moment the interest rate and exchange rate rise, they are done for…
Their loans will turn into bad debts…
Because Companies will go bankrupt
Their capital will melt
You may think “we have KGF (Credit Guarantee Fund) and the state will save us”…
However, the state to save you is bankrupt, itself.
God be with you when depositors pile up at your door, tomorrow
You will charge customers more interest and commission to cover your losses…

The people will become poorer and your sales will fall…
You will not be able to get your receivables from bankrupt companies…
You will look for a loan shark with loan shark interest, but you will not find it…
Those who think they are in good shape…
You have 1 year… the second earthquake will destroy you…
Those who keep their deposits in their private accounts and their debts on their companies…
I hope you can reach the deposits you keep in the bank…

You think if price hikes come, we’ll sell with increased prices? Don’t think so…

Because when the turnover of large companies decline, they will come at you more…

Those who go to hairdresser every 15 days will come once a month…
Those who do not have the money to call a mechanic, will watch the master videos on Youtube and try to do the repair themselves…

No one will be able to buy new clothes and they will have to do with used ones
In the meantime, your expenses will increase exponentially.
Shops will close one by one,

You will be part of the unemployed lot.
Even those who collect garbage will lose their jobs…
When no one will be able to and consume, there won’t be enough garbage.
Unemployed people will start collecting garbage…
Competition will increase even in garbage…

SECOND ROUND

Can we win the second round?
It’s not easy…
We will fight until the last moment…
Will it be okay if we win?
It won’t fix all right away, but at least there will be hope…
If we bear for a year, we can have a clear path ahead…
