CBRT (Central Bank of Turkey) increases year-end inflation and dollar expectations

CENTRAL BANK TURKEY YEAR-END INFLATION EXPECTATION

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has announced the October results of the Market Expectations Survey. In the “CBRT Market Participants Survey”, the year-end inflation expectation increased to 17.63 percent. As for the dollar / TL rate, the expectation increased to 9.22.

According to the October results of the Market Expectations Survey of the Central Bank, expectation of participants for year-end inflation increased to 17.93 percent. In the previous survey period, the expectation was at the level of 16.74 percent.

The CPI (Consumer Price Index) expectation after 12 months was announced as 13.91 percent in this survey period, compared to 12.94 percent in the previous survey period. Expectations for inflation after 24 months also increased from 10.71 percent to 10.27 percent. The year-end dollar / TL expectation increased to 9.22.
