A glass of methyl alcohol from industry: enough to kill three teaspoons

An Associate Professor from the Toxicology Working Group of the Turkish Society of Emergency has warned to stay away from suspicious, unbranded or openly sold drinks. One teaspoon of methyl alcohol can be enough to blind, and three teaspoons can be enough to kill.

Fake booze and methyl alcohol poisoning caused by it stand before us as a public health problem. The only solution seems to be raiding and destroying the places where fake drinks are manufactured. However, high tax increases and bans have been setting the ground for this undesired situation. Moreover, it is not difficult to guess that production is carried out in many more places (and in quantities), and not only those places where operations have been organized.
