According to Turkish Statistics Institute, Turkey grew by 5.6 percent in 2022

According to TURKSTAT data, the economy achieved 5.6 percent growth last year. In 2022, GDP per capita was calculated as 176 thousand 589 TL at current prices and 10 thousand 655 in dollars.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) has announced the growth figures for the last quarter of 2022.
Accordingly, the annual Gross Domestic Product (GDP) obtained by the sum of four periods according to the production method increased by 5.6 percent in 2022 compared to the previous year. GDP increased by 107 percent compared to the previous year and reached 15 trillion 6 billion 574 million TL in 2022.

FINANCE AND INSURANCE ACTIVITIES INCREASES BY 21.8 PERCENT IN 2022
When the activities constituting the GDP are examined; In 2022, as a chained volume index compared to the previous year, finance and insurance activities increased by 21.8 percent, service activities by 11.7 percent, professional, administrative and support service activities by 9.9 percent, information and communication activities by 8.7 percent, other service activities by 5.8 percent, public administration, education, human health and social services activities by 4.8 percent, real estate activities by 4.3 percent, industry by 3.3 percent and agriculture sector by 0.6 percent. The construction sector decreased by 8.4 percent.
