CRUISER TOURISM IN BODRUM

Bodrum has become an indispensable location in cruise tourism. Especially in the spring and autumn seasons, cruise ships, which provide a lifeline to the market traders, have brought in approximately 100,000 foreign tourists.

Bodrum, one of the most popular tourist destinations during the summer season, has also become an essential address for cruise tourism. Nearly every day, a cruise ship arrives in Bodrum, and in 10 months, about 100,000 foreign tourists have set foot in the town. After the war between Israel and Gaza, cruise ships that were supposed to go to Israel have also redirected their routes to Turkish ports.

Bodrum Cruise Ship Dock, where the world’s largest cruise ships dock, has welcomed 100,000 foreign tourists into the town. The President of the Bodrum Hoteliers Association, emphasized the significant contribution of cruise tourism to Bodrum, saying, “Cruise tourism holds an important place in Bodrum. So far, over 90,000 foreign tourists have arrived by sea, and more than 90 cruise ships have arrived. We hope that this number will exceed 100 by the end of the season. Cruise ships will also arrive in November and December.”

He went on to say, “They are also considering arrivals in January and February. Cruise tourism has been a great support to Bodrum. Cruise tourism is one of the biggest supporters of our goal to reach 1 million tourists in Bodrum. The number of tourists arriving by air is over 850,000. If we add cruise tourism to this, we will reach the goal of 1 million tourists. Cruise tourism provides significant support to the market traders in Bodrum. We hope that cruise tourism will continue in the coming years.”
