British Prime Minister Truss announces financial support package regarding energy prices

British Prime Minister Liz Truss has announced the government’s financial assistance package aimed at supporting households in the face of rising energy prices.

Speaking in the British Parliament, Truss said that from October 1, the total energy bills of households will be kept constant for two years, with a maximum of £ 2,500 per year.

Prime Minister Truss who said households could save an average of a thousand pounds a year thanks to said plan, also noted the government would make an additional £ 400 for household energy bills,

Truss said that the new Energy Supply Board created within the government would meet with energy companies and work to ensure longer-term service purchase agreements with cheaper prices.
