BRITISH WOMAN LOSES LIFE TURKEY

The tension between England and Turkey over the “Brazilian butt lift” continues. The brother of 26-year-old British Demi Agoglia, who lost her life as a result of a hip aesthetic surgery in Turkey, said, “I call on those considering going to Turkey for surgery, don’t do it.”

The death of a woman who came to Turkey for hip aesthetic surgery, known as the “Brazilian butt lift” has fueled the debate over aesthetic surgeries in Turkey in England. Demi Agoglia, a 26-year-old mother of three, lost her life a few days after the successful hip lift operation. The young woman, who had her teeth done in Turkey and also had hip aesthetic surgery, could not be saved after suffering a heart attack following the allegedly successful surgery.

It was reported that the woman, who had a 7-month-old baby, came to Turkey to have her teeth done and also had hip aesthetic surgery. Agoglia’s brother said they tried to convince the young woman not to undergo the risky hip surgery, stating, “I want to say to those who are considering going to Turkey for surgery, don’t do it. Even her boyfriend was against it, but she made this decision. It’s a very risky operation.”

A source speaking to the British press stated that Turkish doctors had said the surgery was successful but asked Agoglia to stay in the country for a while.

MELISSA KERR’S DEATH CAUSED A CRISIS

Previously, the death of 31-year-old British citizen Melissa Kerr in 2019 after hip aesthetic surgery in Turkey had caused a discussion in England. In a report prepared by a British forensic expert, it was claimed that doctors in Istanbul had not provided sufficient information about the risks of the surgery to Kerr, and a call was made to the British people to be cautious about aesthetic surgeries in Turkey. The British government had also decided to hold talks with Turkish authorities regarding the risks of cosmetic surgeries.

According to the British Sun newspaper, the cost of the ‘Brazilian butt lift’ operation is around £10,000 in the UK, while prices in Turkey are around £3,500.
