Covid-19 claims more than 6 million lives worldwide

According to official figures, the number of deaths due to the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide has reached 6 million 20 thousand 582. Covid-19 first appeared in Wuhan, China in December 2019. Turkey reported the first case in March 2020.

According to the Worldometers website, where Covid-19 data are compiled, the highest number of deaths from the disease was recorded in the United States: 984 thousand 20.

The USA was followed by Brazil with 652 thousand 207 and India with 515 thousand 133.

But there are also opinions that the death toll may be much higher than recorded, especially due to the lack of infrastructure in India.
