Electricity ceiling price increased by 60 percent in four months: “There is a payment crisis”

Noting that the ceiling price application, which has been implemented in the electricity market since April 2022, changes every month, a deputy from opposition party CHP said, “The ceiling price in electricity has increased by 60 percent in four months, from 2,500 TL to 4,500 TL per megawatt hour. As the Turkish lira depreciates, the ceiling price goes up, and there is a major payment crisis in the electricity sector” he said.
