ELECTRICITY BILLS IN TURKEY

According to an opposition lawmaker, energy bills have increased more than two and a half times in 2022 and led to official inflation of 84 percent, which cluttered the citizen’s budget. The increase in the industry is fourfold.

A CHP deputy compiled the hikes in energy prices during the year, three weeks before the end of 2022. In a statement on the subject today, he noted the following::

* The electricity residential tariff was increased three times during the year and the industrial tariff was increased four times.
* A total of four hikes were made in all subscriber types in natural gas in 2022.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR UNBEARABLE PRICE HIKES IN THE COUNTRY?

Of course, the question here is: “Did these hikes occur only because of negative developments in world markets, or were other factors also influential?” The answer is, there is no doubt that bad management and especially the wrong decisions made on interest rates have also had an extremely big effect on the current inflation boom. The bill for this has undoubtedly put in front of the citizen.

According to many citizens, the only hope that appears on the horizon is for the opposition to find a cure for many bad developments in the country by winning the elections. For this, it is only necessary to wait 6 months – if there are no early elections, that is.
