Erdogan makes statement in Tehran: We hope to achieve the $ 30 billion trade target
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is in the Iranian capital Tehran, attended a joint press conference after a bilateral meeting with Iranian President Ibrahim Reisi and the 7th meeting of the Turkish-Iranian High-Level Cooperation Council, as part of the official talks.
In a statement, President Erdoğan said, “We had a goal of reaching a trade volume of $ 30 billion. Unfortunately, we have faced a serious setback due to the Covid incident. As of now, we have achieved $ 7.5 billion. We hope to achieve the $30 billion trade target as soon as possible.”
Iranian President Reisi made the following statement, on the other hand: “Erdogan’s visit will be an important turning point in terms of relations between the two countries.”
