Former leader of pro-Kurdish HDP: We will do everything we can to make PKK lay down weapons
Selahattin DEMIRTAS, the imprisoned former co-leader of the HDP, stressed that they would do everything they could to ensure that the PKK completely leave its arms. The statement of Demirtaş, who promised peace to the people, shared on his Twitter account was as follows:
*Let us promise our people that we will do everything we can to ensure that the PKK completely lays down its arms in Turkey after the Erdogan regime, which feeds on conflict, and we will definitely succeed. We will definitely solve our problems in the Grand National Assembly according to the procedure and within the framework of the law and ensure great social peace.
*We could have done this already, but Erdogan put those who wanted peace in prison and isolation, tried to close their parties, appointed trustees to their municipalities, fueled the conflict with provocations, tried to scare the people and collect votes through the rhetoric of ‘terror’.
