The 4 largest US airlines have announced that they are to remove the mask requirement applied on domestic flights in accordance with the latest decision of the federal court regulating the mask requirement.

After the decision of the federal court in the United States yesterday, which canceled the regulation extending the mask requirement on air and other public transport until May 3, airline companies took action.

United, Delta, American and Southwest, which are described as the 4 largest airline companies in the country, announced that they had removed the requirement to wear masks applied on domestic flights in accordance with the court’s decision.

The U.S. Transportation Security Administration, which made an announcement after the court’s decision, also shared that they would take the necessary steps to remove the mask requirement quickly.

THE REQUIREMENT WAS EXTENDED BY CDC UNTIL MAY 3

The requirement to wear a mask, which has been causing controversy between Democrats and Republicans in the United States for quite a long time, was finally extended by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) last week until May 3 and Republicans had reacted to the decision. On April 13, the CDC had announced that there had been a renewed increase in Covid-19 cases, so passengers using buses, ferries and subways alongside air transportation would continue to be required to wear masks until at least May 3.
