Japanese earthquake expert Yoshinori Moriwaki made an important warning for Hatay. Moriwaki, who said that the fault line in the city that was upset by the Kahramanmaraş-based earthquake had not been broken yet, shared following; “There is a line in Hatay and further in the Eastern Mediterranean that extends to Cyprus. We can’t tell the time, but I predict an earthquake on this line.”

Yoshinori Morivaki, General Manager of the Japanese Hazama Ando company and earthquake specialist in Turkey, who has been working in Turkey for a long time, said that the Hatay Fault had not yet been damaged in the earthquake disaster.

“HATAY FAULT NOT BROKEN YER”

Yoshinori Morivaki, who stated that the faults on the Eastern Anatolian fault line, Elazığ and Kahramanmaraş had been broken before, said that the damage was more in the south instead of the earthquake center. Warning that the Hatay Fault had not been broken yet, Morivaki said, “There is a line extending to Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean in Hatay and beyond. We can’t tell the time, but I predict an earthquake on this line.”

In the same way, Japanese earthquake expert Morivaki emphasized that the Bingöl Fault had not been broken, and that he could not specify a time for the Marmara region again, but an earthquake with a magnitude of 7-7.5 was predicted with a probability of 70 percent.

Yoshinori Morivaki, who stated that the durability of buildings was much more important as the floor in the damages caused by earthquakes, pointed out that there were serious problems in more than half of the 21 million buildings in Turkey.

“THERE IS NO BUILDING INSPECTION SYSTEM IN JAPAN THERE IS NO NEED”

Morivaki, who said that the inspection should be carried out not after sitting, but without resettlement, said, “There is no building inspection system in Japan, but the building license rate is 100 percent. In other words, it is impossible to sit inside the unlicensed, unmonitored building.”
