Galatasaray defeats Beşiktaş in Istanbul derby with Icardi’s goals: 2-1

The yellow-red team took a 1-0 lead in the match played at RAMS Park with a goal scored by Mauro Icardi in the 26th minute. Beşiktaş’s goalkeeper Mert Günok was sent off with a red card in the 30th minute, and Galatasaray ended the first half 1-0 ahead.

Beşiktaş equalized the score in the 69th minute with Chamberlain’s goal, but in the 82nd minute, Icardi scored from a penalty to put Galatasaray back in the lead. The yellow-red team maintained their lead for the remaining time and won the match 2-1.

With this result, Galatasaray increased their points to 25 and took the lead with a game in hand. Beşiktaş remained at 16 points.
