Greek ferry company halts service to Turkish ports due to health reasons and tension in region
Dodecanese Flying Dolphins, a Greek ferry company has announced it has decided to halt ferry services to Turkish ports. The company cited information from EU health agencies and tensions in the region as reasons.
The company announced its decision regarding the matter on its website. The announcement was made in English and Greek said: “We have cancelled all ferry services on these routes based on information we have received information from the European Union and Health Organizations and also due to rising tensions in the region. You can cancel or change your tickets if you wish”.
Based on same report, the company noted that they had withdrawn from all routes between the two countries Rhodes-Fethiye and Kos-Bodrum to be in the first place and cancelled all tours they had sold for Turkey.
