"Share this post on social media, spread the news"

Health Minister Fahrettin KOCA made the confession as the debate flared over the concealment of coronavirus data. The husband made it clear that the concealment of the data was for the purpose of “protecting the national interest”. Health Minister’s statements after yesterday’s Science Board meeting caused a great reaction. Responding to claims that the number of deaths and cases did not reflect the truth, the husband explained the increase in cases with the distinction of “patient” and “case”.

He said, “Not every case is sick. Because there are people who test positive but show no symptoms. They make up the vast majority. Our filiation teams are detecting them, particularly. The importance of these in terms of the epidemic is that they are contagious, that is, they are carriers”, confirming that the number of daily cases is 20 times higher than the number of patients described.

There was a big reaction to the minister’s words from TTB (Turkish Doctor’s Association), opposition, social media and even the Science Board.

IT’S IN THE NATIONAL INTEREST

KOCA who made another statement about the reactions today, made an interesting response, saying that “the state protects the national interests as well as the health of the people.”

He said, “Let us know that in the process of combating the epidemic, our state protects its national interests as well as the health of its people. The reason is that the epidemic affects all areas of life. Criticism of some people who are not responsible is no different from looking at a point in the photo with a lens and looking for a stain.”
