Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate plans to declare all hospitals pandemic hospitals
After Corona climbed to the top and spread it mainly in Istanbul, the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate prepared a new plan against the virus. In this context, it was planned this evening as if all hospitals were going to be pandemic hospitals.
The Directorate of Health confirmed that there were 13 thousand 288 beds in 161 hospitals in Istanbul of which 10 thousand 754 were clinical beds. The directorate planned to set aside 2,689 beds, 25 per cent of the total, for covid-19 patients.
WILL THERE BE A CURFEW?
The decision of the Provincial Health Directorate was reported to hospital administrations as urgent, following shift change in the evening.
It was mentioned that different measures against the spread of Corona in Istanbul would also be raised, among which a curfew might be in question within the next week. However, officials said the curfew would be decided by President Erdogan, so there was no certainty, yet.
