Latest brief update about election in Turkey

As it stands now the PUBLIC ALLAINCE and TAYYIP ERDOGAN seem to be leading in the tough race to win presidential chair and deputy majority in the parliament. However only a minority of ballot boxes have been opened (and ballots counted) so far. Moreover, Anadolu Agency which shares the figures based on results sent by YSK (Higher Election Board) apparently prefers to enter results from regions where ruling party and partners are stronger first.

In fact the Anadolu Agency apparently prefers to delay entry of results to the contrary, to be in favor of the ruling bloc, although it is an official state organization. This is a strict allegation put forward by the opposition based on past experience from Istanbul Municipality election in 2019 (and some other elections earlier).

Based on statements by the opposition they are allegedly doing this to discourage the opposition, opposition voters and most important of all those opposition staff on duty at BALLOT stations.

In fact ERDOGAN started with something like 57% or so and has come down to 50 and below. As more data is entered we’ll see what happens.

Why are they doing this? As we move ahead we will MOST LIKELY see the difference between ERDOGAN and KILICDAROGLU will come down and then we will have a much clearer picture. At the moment, only a small portion such as 20-30 percent (and in some areas even lower) of ballot boxes have been opened. (as of 20.30)

In fact, Istanbul and Ankara and Izmir are the MOST IMPORTANT SPOTS with about 30 million people (certainly not all voters but this is more than 1/3 of Turkey) and Anadolu Agency has shared very insufficient number from this place until now (as of 20.30)

The same strategy was put into practice (by AA) in Istanbul Municipality election in 2019 and we all know the result.

This is not to say opposition will win at the end of this tough race just like we cannot say ruling bloc will win, either. Certainly, nobody is in position to make such comments right at this moment (20.30). But this information is based on reliable/experienced experts in politics, on TVs. Also, IMAMOGLU and YAVAŞ from opposition bloc made an announcement a short while ago only, confirming this information. They said the same things (almost one to one) and they also added opposition and KK were in the lead.

So, all we can do is wait until sufficient number of ballot boxes are opened and enough data is entered into the system. On the other hand IMAMOGLU also said they would often be updating with recent data.
